I my iPhone 5 to activate through today (career source) is still is the Otterbox Defender case placed it first nature's I got. Had my 3gs Defender and it protects my phone all these years. Did not have a IPhone 4 / 4S is so I can't compare it. So far quick impressions:
Protection - is equivalent protection wise 5 Defender 3 gs iPhone. Complete coverage of the industrial-grade protection. Same concept and overall design silicone, slightly thicker and stronger, I feel 5,. Smooth finish is matte finish on 3gs should help compared to silicone and hopefully avoid the dust and lint-cleaning it's only downside is required frequently 3gs if it was.
Buttons and ports - is covered with silicone-like power and volume button button itself. Press one of the buttons with the silicone, no problem. You can have silicone plugs. -Opening of the front and back cameras - two openings is huge! Front camera / speaker / light sensor one opening is a big opening. 3Gs version (only 3gs no speakers in front of the camera ) and I opened case much better overall coverage provided from 4 seconds I've seen, was accurate. Approximately 30-40% of it is must Flash with camera rear apertures than also increase is. It's great to have openings from both locations for better protection of the more accurate would have been.

Seem to watermark problem will help in this regard forever anything permanent, like in this case. Anti-glare film little bridge the gaps, but only for several days. Screen for a couple of days after right back creates in the watermark issues picking up, again using the screen make difficult. Sent it back and get another case. Yes, that's why was willing, I'll settle this case at once, but can't give up features and would like to protect my iPhone.
